about

Here's a set of guitar-based, melodic pop-rock, pretty definitive of what I was doing in the 80s, 90s and Oughts, and close to the cream of the crop. It's a pretty enjoyable and bracing (I hope) portrait of my sound in its prime.

With roots in '60s British Invasion, '60s Sunshine Pop, and early 70s power-pop, my stuff shares traits with (and might be enjoyed by fans of) Todd Rundgren, Cheap Trick, Fountains of Wayne, Teenage Fanclub, Marshall Crenshaw, Counting Crows, Wallflowers, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Bryan Adams - really, all strains of guitar-based, high energy, melodic, catchy rock thats tough yet sensitive, all shaded with a patina of heartland rock romance.

These were all written in the early days of being married, so many of them reflect my happiness in life with my wife Rebecca, and also chronicle some of the challenges of getting to know how to live with someone. This was also a time when political divisions were growing, and so that's reflected in a couple songs as well.

I've tried to make 'All Days Shining' into a fresh variation on a now fading style of pop music. Get the Movement!
